1. Information We Collect
Resume Text
When you generate an email, the text extracted from your PDF resume is transmitted to our AI email generation service solely to produce the email response. This text is not stored by ApplyAI on any server. It is never logged, retained, or used for any purpose beyond generating your email.
Job Description or URL
The job description text or URL you provide is transmitted to our AI email generation service as part of the email generation request. Like your resume text, this is not stored by ApplyAI.
Application Records
The emails ApplyAI generates — including subject, body, job title, company, and status — are saved as application records. These are stored:
- Locally on your device using on-device storage
- Privately in your personal iCloud Key-Value Storage if iCloud is enabled on your device
ApplyAI does not have access to these records. They exist only within your Apple ecosystem.
What We Do Not Collect
- No account creation — no name, email address, or password is ever collected by ApplyAI
- No device identifiers, advertising IDs, or crash analytics
- No location data
- No usage analytics or behavioural tracking
- No payment data (in-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple)
2. How We Use Your Information
The only personal data ApplyAI transmits — your resume text and the job description — is used for one purpose: generating a personalised job application email. No data is used for advertising, profiling, training AI models, or any secondary purpose.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your resume PDFs and extracted text are stored exclusively on your device in the app's sandboxed local storage. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently.
Application records are stored on-device and, if enabled, synchronised via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage — a private, encrypted service accessible only to you. ApplyAI cannot read, access, or modify your iCloud data.
4. Third-Party Services
AI Email Generation API
ApplyAI uses a third-party AI API to generate email content. When you generate an email, your resume text and job description are transmitted to this API's servers over an encrypted HTTPS connection. This data is used solely to produce the email response and is not stored or used for any other purpose by ApplyAI.
Apple App Store & StoreKit
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. ApplyAI does not receive or store any payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all purchase transactions.
ApplyAI does not use any other third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking frameworks.
5. iCloud & Device Sync
If your device has iCloud enabled, application records (not resumes) are synchronised across your Apple devices using iCloud Key-Value Storage. This sync is private, encrypted, and managed entirely by Apple. ApplyAI does not transmit this data to any server it operates.
You can disable iCloud sync at any time via iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → ApplyAI.
6. Children's Privacy
ApplyAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us at contact.applyai@ezee.li and we will take prompt action.
7. Your Rights
Because ApplyAI does not collect, store, or process personal data on its own servers, there is no centralised data to access, export, or delete. All data you generate within the app is under your control:
- Delete resumes at any time from within the Resumes tab
- Delete individual application records from within the Applications tab
- Delete all data by uninstalling the app
- Remove iCloud sync data via iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → ApplyAI

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via an in-app notice. Your continued use of ApplyAI after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
